Using a real estate agent to sell your house

:
Why use a Real Estate Agent to Sell your House?

A house is generally the largest investment that an individual makes in their lifetime. When it comes time for you to sell your home the bottom line is "Am I getting the best price for my house?"

In an effort to save money and maximize return, many people decide to go with "For Sale By Owner" (FSBO). It seems easy enough until you begin to look at the massive amount of work and uncertainty involved. Add to that, national statistics show that 80% to 90% of FSBO properties eventually list with a real estate agent.

As you begin the process of selling your house, you are faced with the following questions.

  1. What is the right price?

  2. What about marketing my house?

  3. How do I make sure I'm dealing with qualified buyers?

  4. What about the final sale?

The services of a qualified real estate professional of the highest value in answering these questions.

A good real estate agent has a strong understanding of the local real estate market, a high standard of customer service and the support of a solid local company. Most importantly, a good agent saves you money, time and aggravation.

Setting the Price --
Real estate agents know the value of real estate in your area. They should be able to show you properties comparable to yours that will help set a fair and competitive price on your home. They can compare current homes for sale as well as recently sold homes. Price variables include age of home, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, pool, garage type, renovations and other amenities. A real estate agent can assess the fair market value and help to set an agreeable asking price.

Marketing Plan --
Marketing your house is far more than putting a sign in the yard and an ad in the classifieds. A real estate agent should offer a variety of marketing tools including a yard sign, advertisement in local real estate magazines, inclusion in the local Multi-List Service (MLS), inclusion on their website and printed flyers or brochures. This multifaceted marketing plan ensures that your property is seen by scores of potential buyers.

Remember that the agent is not paid unless the house sells. Their commission depends on them implementing a successful marketing strategy.

Finding Quality Buyers --
An agents time is limited so they take care to bring quality buyers to your home. Many agents prequalify clients with a mortgage company before showing them a home. This is doubly beneficial. First, the buyers are serious. Second, the buyer is only looking at homes they can afford.

Not to beat this point, but agents don't make money showing houses, they make money selling houses. A good agent will make sure that the traffic coming through your home are quality buyers.

The Final Sale --
As expert in the home selling process, your real estate agent will advise you of your rights, options and obligations. Their negotiating skills help in determining appropriate offers, presenting counter-offers and getting you the best price possible price. They can help break down the legalese of the contract and streamline the process of closing the sale.

Why use a real estate agent to sell your home? -- Because it pays! It limits your stress, provides good marketing, offers quality buyers, gives invaluable assistance in closing the sale and provides peace of mind.

Like your tea sweet add honey instead of sugar

One of life’s purest pleasures is a cup of steaming tea. Some like it pure but most like it sweet. Adding sugar is by far the most common way of sweetening tea. Common table sugar (sucrose) is comprised of fructose and glucose. While sugar satisfies a natural craving, it is not without its downside.

Sugar is the quintessential source of energy and most foods, when digested, are metabolized by the body as basic sugar (glucose). It is a major source of calories in the diet. The body will save the excess energy in sugar as fat. While some stored fat is necessary, too much is undesirable and pose several health concerns especially for diabetics. Sugar also supports the growth of the bacteria that causes tooth decay.

A healthier alternative is honey. Honey is one of the oldest sweeteners used by man and was highly valued by ancient Egyptians for its medicinal and healing properties. It is a sweet, usually viscous, liquid made by bees from flower nectar and stored in the cells of the hive for food. Consumed fresh or after processing, it is usually used as a nutritive sweetener.

“Honey is the ultimate in products derived from herbs. It’s like liquid gold. Fashioned through an ingenious alliance between animal and plant kingdoms, honey delivers a diverse array of phytochemicals in one package. This bounty arrives courtesy of the industrious honeybee, who visits some 2 million flowers to manufacture just one pound of honey” said Dr. Gina Mohammed, a plant physiologist in Sault Ste Marie, Canada. “Honey blends exceptionally well with black and flavored teas and enhances its fragrance”, added Kim Yong, founder of Your Tea Place, an online tea site which focuses on tea and health.

A study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, shows that the level of antioxidants of honey is comparable to that of many fruits and vegetables. And while you are unlikely to devour a cup of honey in lieu of broccoli, the golden liquid may be a respectable alternative to sugar and a healthy supplement to your diet. It has been found that honey lessens the ill effects of radiation therapy in patients with cancer of the head and neck, improves oral health, preserves food, boosts antioxidants and enhances athletic performance.

Researchers at the University of Illinois studied 25 healthy men who consumed various combinations of hot water, buckwheat honey, black tea and sugar. They found that serum antioxidant capacity increased by 7 percent within two hours of ingesting 2 cups of hot water containing about 4 tablespoons of honey. Those antioxidants also help your arteries as it reduces oxidation of low-density lipoproteins (known as “bad” cholesterol), a benefit which likely thwarts development of atherosclerosis. The findings also show that many varieties are full of phenols and flavonoids – known cancer fighters even more powerful than vitamin E.

So the next time you’re having a cup of tea, do your health a favor by added a spoonful of honey, nature’s liquid gold.

Gambling industry expanding and players who use gambling strategies

What does the word “Gamble” mean to you?

For the average player the word “gambling” means much more than a risky bet. It can stand for just about anything from vacationing, Las Vegas, and even fun. Devised earlier than 3000 years ago, gambling was well documented to have existed in many civilizations. The games we know today are the incarnations of former ones, with adjusted rules. For the length of time gambling was invented, players have always seemed obsessed with trying to use various gambling strategies for games. However, Casinos have always had the mathematical advantage along with an adamant need for stopping the smart player. It has forever become a vicious cycle of exploitive players vs. casinos catching up.

Today, gambling doesn’t even need to be played at Las Vegas or any other casino chains.

Now for those of you who live under rocks or live in a time warp may say, “Wait….outside of Casinos?”

Well you see…

1. In-flight Gambling: Eflyte has been developing in-flight gaming and continues to spread its influence on many airlines. Currently they have the world’s first Multiplayer Poker Tournament along with over 60 games for airplanes. Ceo of Ryanair will also attempt use in-flight gaming by next year. Now casino gambling may be common on cruises, but it’s a breakthrough for airlines.

2. Mobile phones can also be used to buy lotteries and sports betting nowadays. If certain restrictions are lifted, it could even mean much more growth in its use.

3. Internet Casinos are also another medium in which gambling doesn’t seem to stop growing; despite being forced to open offshore from the US. This isn’t necessarily bad of course.

The gambling industry is on a growing trend and it doesn’t seem to stop anywhere in sight. Of course, this naturally means that more and more people will be hooked and continue losing to the casinos.

Even the strategic players are screwed over at times with certain technologies being developed. Some casinos even started to implement tracking devices in chips to catch card counters. Those days of Ken Uston and counting machines are getting harder to come by since casinos already know about the gambling strategies used. New mediums such as electronic gambling can stop card counting dead in it’s track.

Winning through strategy can still be done, just as internet marketing can still make some rich. Yet being particular savvy to news and gambling strategy alike can immensely help the professional gambler. That is, unless gambling is only treated as a simple recreation. Otherwise, the best a player can do is to read up on forums and reference news sources for any changes in their gambling strategy.

Social pimples not medical

Anyone that has graced our earth, has reached a stage in their life that is known as Puberty. Puberty is a time in life, different for everyone, where the largest hormone and sexual growth takes places. Common characterstics that are defined during this time are pubic hair, voice changes, larger breasts, etc.

A common 'side effect' to Puberty is the increased appearance of pimples. Pimples are a type of lesion on the skin that are caused by swelled or otherwise blocked pores. Most oftenly caused by acne, pimples can also be cause by other conditions such as smallpox.

The time of life when the greatest amount of growth occurs and the development of sexual characteristics (such as pubic hair, breasts in females, and lower voice in males) takes place. Noone that I have met likes pimple, and they have become a huge social issue in today's society. This is largely due to the direct affect that they have on one's appearance. Pimple's have the affect of making one appear 'dirty'.

It isn't hard to eliminate or reduce a pimple, all you have to do is press in and down on the area from both sides. This pressure on the area will bause the skin to pop, allowing the pimple to loose it's internal puss outwards. This is the most widely accepted method, however, it is not always recommended by dermatologists. Dermatologists have proven that in squeezing the pimple you can actually cause bacteria and puss to be pushed further into the skin, which in turn causes further irritation. Often times dirty fingers will also be the cause of prolonged infection.

Misunderstandings about depression

“ They canceled ‘Wedding Belles.’ Boy, am I depressed.”

“The price of gas is really depressing me.”

“I’m turning 40 next month. What a depressing thought.”

Go ahead and add your own cry of pain to the list, and then stop and ask why, if you are truly clinically depressed, you were watching a TV series as light an frothy as “Wedding Belles”, or driving around trying to save $.02 per gallon, or were even able to think as far ahead as next month.

The words “depressed” and “depression” are undoubtedly two of the most carelessly used in the English language. They are tossed about like bowling pins at a juggling competition, by those who understand very little about depression. Perhaps one reason that the facts about depression are so poorly misunderstood is that those who think they might be suffering from it are afraid of being stigmatized as whiners and complainers. So they neither talk to anyone about depression nor seek treatment for it.

Depression Vs. The Blues

True depression can surface in many ways, and have many underlying factors, but all diagnosed cases of clinical depression have one thing in common--their duration. Depression is not the same as having the blues for a few weeks when a friend moves away or beating up on yourself because someone else got the promotion you were after. It’s perfectly natural, and even healthy, to have negative reactions to those kinds of experiences, but if you can continue on with your daily life and feel good about other things, you are not depressed.

The most significant things about depression is that it lasts for at least three

months, and even if the sufferer is able to overcome one bout, others a certain to occur. Those who are able to talk about depression with a medical professional will find that their emotional paralysis and inability to take any interest in their lives, or even-self loathing, are all classic symptoms and sure indications that they are clinically depressed.

Another thing about depression is that, if left untreated, it can cause the victim’s emotional and even physical health to deteriorate dangerously. Depression normally begins as the”blahs”, when someone may just feel mentally fuzzy and not have much physical energy. At this stage a person who does not know much about depression may thing he or she is coming down with a cold or the flu, or just needs a break for the normal routine. For more info see treatdepressionhelp. com/Symptoms_Of_Depression on Symptoms Of Depression.

Depression May Be Hard To Recognize

If that person’s family or friends also lack information about depression, and especially if the person is normally laid-back, they may not notice much difference until the person has become so withdrawn that it is obvious something is wrong.

If you think you might be becoming clinically depressed, you owe it to yourself to get information about depression as soon as your can.

Women s day- should it be celebrated

When we celebrate a day, we consider something special about that day. Or we would not be celebrating it. Am I correct? What message do we send by celebrating Womens Day? Why not also celebrate Mens Day?

What do we want to think about women? Ideally, they should be treated equally in all the fields. Ideally when one thinks of a woman, one should not think about them different in any respect to men. Except that they mother a child and shoulder different responsibility for a certain period, women should be thought of as equal to men in all respects. Why label them as weaker sex or any such thing. But this is happening. Who is responsible for this thought process, where women are considered different? Men? Women? Historical processes? Who? Let us examine more.

Does media discuss the matter, if a man reaches top of a giant corporation? No. But it does, if a woman occupies that position. Why? Is it only because women have traditionally not occupied such positions or that they are in some way considered inferior to men? So it is a surprise if a woman reaches the top of a giant organization? Why cannot the media ignore such occurrences and not call them as news at all? Does media announce - the sun rose today! No. It is taken as a way of life and nature. Why cannot the media take this fact as granted that women are equal to men in all the aspects and stop discussing any issues that talk of sex difference and ability?

Does Womens Day not do the same thing? Does it now somehow manage to project women as different then men in many ways? Going forward in the discussion, should we have different events for men and women in sports? With such categorization are we ourselves not treating men and women separately?

Why does love drive people crazy

If you talk to two persons - one who has never felt love, and other who is deeply in love, you will find them talking in a very different way. If you ask a person who has never loved about what he/she felt about the other's talk, the answer will be - crazy!

Is it true? Does love drive one to madness? It may not be madness as understood by psychiatrists, but a madness of emotions. Is that right? Why does love do that? To understand this, we have to explore more about love or romance. Is it friendship? Is it physical attraction? is it just liking for each other? What is love and what is this relationship all about? Love combines all these and goes much beyond in bonding. Lovers are bonded to each other emotionally and totally. A lover cannot imagine of a life without his/her beloved. A lover will suffer like a fish suffers without water, if he/she is separated from the beloved. Love becomes the whole life. Love gives life. Love becomes the reason of life. Life begins and ends with love. That is love. And that's why people call love mad!

How and why a lover feels like this for one's beloved is beyond any logical explanation. There is no arithmetic sum that can decide this. It is all emotional. And the emotions are so overwhelming that they engulf the whole personality. Why does a flower look lovely to all of us? Why are we attracted by the sight of a beautiful sunset? Why do we love to walk on the beach? Do we know? Can we answer these questions? Our only answer may be that - I feel happy doing it. A lover feels happy, rather so happy in love that it cannot be compared with any other happiness. One forgets one's pains, one's pleasures and one's existence when in love.

Fall in love if you still haven't and feel the madness. You will get a clue to why true lovers are called mad.

Martial arts training and nutrition

Bruce Lee did more than blaze the movie screens with powerful, lightning quick punches and kicks. He launched a martial arts revolution and encouraged martial artists to break the ties that bound them as practitioners. Lee freed himself and other martial artists from the ties that limited the skills traditional fighters. He envisioned unity among the divided disciplines of martial arts. After years of research and development, Lee managed to fuse every helpful martial arts components into one system. He incorporated western boxing, the Chinese style of Kung Fu called Wing Chun, and Western fencing and added bits of Karate, Judo, Aikido, Muay Thai, and Jiu Jitsu. The result was a concept that served as a forerunner for Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), called Jeet Kune Do (Way of the Intercepting Fist).

Jeet Kune Do, according to Lee, is not another martial arts style or method. It is a concept where different combat arts and techniques are used. Whether it is from Japan, China, India, or the Philippines, combat artists are encouraged to explore various fighting system and absorb its essence. Lee wanted to create a martial art that was unbound and free, where movements are simple, direct, and non-classical. He later expanded the notion that the art should be used for personal development and become a better fighter. The final stage of training designed for practitioners of Jeet Kune Do was the “no limitation” stage where advanced students were free to change and explore their personal styles of fighting.

Bruce Lee was able to accomplish this feat because of superb physical and mental training. He freed himself of the stress and anxiety that distracted his training. He developed his abdominal muscles because these muscles play a key role in the movement of martial artists. In addition, these muscles protects the ribs and other vital organs. Lee constantly trained and attempted to achieve maximum efficiency, according him martial artists of his time lacked necessary physical fitness to back up their skill. There were times when Lee would ride a stationary bike for 45 minutes to increase his muscle definition and reduce body fat. He combined weight training with his regular workout to improve his performance and physique. His workout was designed to avoid bulky muscles to avoid hefty muscles that might interfere his martial arts movement. In addition, Bruce Lee trained properly to avoid muscle spasms and lower back pain. Injuries may hamper his training and affect his performance. He also took nutrition seriously and was strict on his diet. He drank his concentration of vegetables, apples, celery, carrots, and prepared it using an electric blender. Lee consumed high-protein drinks which included powdered milk, eggs, bananas, and peanut floor.

Bruce Lee is one of the most recognized names in the world and accomplished so much despite living a very short life. His goal of breaking the bounds that acted has limiting factors succeeded and started the genesis of many hybrid martial arts. Lee did not become a seasoned martial artist overnight, his accomplishments are products of intense and vigorous training coupled with proper nutrition.

Simple effective small business website tips

When you are a small business looking to create a space online (and it’s not your area of expertise), in many cases, less is more. Keep your website simple with only needed information that will not appear outdated or have one functional area that can feature updated items. Often people fail to realize the dedication and time it takes to keep a content heavy and interactive website fresh. You need to spend your time capturing and responding to leads, as well as the other hats you may wear.

To start look through the eyes of the customer to identify what information is really needed on your website. Don’t try to be flashy, always focus on filling a need.

Next try to define your business in less than 2 paragraphs. Use bullet points and tag lines to get across the most important messages. People digest content in bite-size portions online.

Always have multiple ways to contact you – contact forms are the easiest way to be contacted and also shield your e-mail address from spiders that might see fit to crawl and add you to their spam list. Depending on your situation include a business address and telephone number.

Come up with one, great promotional opportunity that can be a part of your website always. This makes marketing easy if you just focus on a main promotion that you do not need to update regularly. It can be something like 10% off if they found you via Craigslist or $10 off for all new customers. It’s a great way to be acquisition aggressive, while enjoying a tracking mechanism as well.

Some other helpful hints:

- Don’t Use Frames

- Always Own Your Domain, Graphics and Content.

- Buy a Domain Made up of Great Search Terms

- Name Pages on the Website with Target Search Terms

- Use Flash Only if You Must – Most Businesses Should Not

- Get a Maintenance Contract with a Reputable Web Designer. This Keeps Costs Down and Makes Changes Easy.

Chinese opera

Among the hundreds of forms of opera throughout China, Beijing Opera has the greatest influence and is therefore regarded as a national form.

Beijing Opera is a comprehensive performing art that combines music, singing, dialogue, pantomime, acrobatics and martial arts. Hence an actor or actress in Peking Opera has to meet more requirements than that in other forms of performing art. He or she has to be a performing artist, a singer, and a dancer at the same time. It usually takes the student more than ten years of training to learn singing and acrobatic skills. Thus, it is difficult to be a qualified performer in Peking Opera.

Symbolism prevails in Beijing Opera. The stage of Peking Opera knows no limit in space or time. It can be the setting for any action. The performer's acting is mostly pantomime. Footwork, gestures, and various kinds of body movements can portray and symbolize the actions of opening a door, climbing a hill, going upstairs, or rowing a boat. When a girl is doing needlework, she has neither a needle nor thread in her hands. When a lady is riding in a carriage, the performer actually has to walk flanked on each side by a flag with colored tassels represents riding a horse. Four generals and four soldiers represent an army of thousands. In a word, each action of a performer of Peking Opera is highly symbolic.

Springing in Beijing Opera consists of a score of melodies based on "xi pi" and sorrowful feelings. Spoken dialogue is done in two forms: "yun bai", which sounds like the Hubei and Anhui dialects, and "jing bai", which sounds like the Beijing dialect. The former is used by main and serious characters and the latter for minor and frivolous roles.

In Beijing Opera facial painting, which is applied to "jing" roles only, shows the character's age, profession and personality by using different colors. Each color symbolizes a certain characteristic; red for loyalty and uprightness, black for a rough, stern or honest mature, yellow for rashness and fieriness, white for a cunning and deceitful character, gold and silver for gods and demons. In Peking Opera, over one thousand painted facial patterns are used. Each pattern lies in his ability to make subtle and interesting changes within the fixed facial pattern.

The costumes in Peking Opera impress the audience with their bright colors and magnificent embroidery. Some of the costumes used in the present performances have a resemblance to the fashion of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The use of colors indicates different social status - yellow for the imperial family, red for high nobility, red or blue for upright men, white for old officials and black for each role. A student usually wears blue gown, general wears padded armor; an emperor wears a dragon robe. Besides gorgeous clothes and headdresses, jewel girdles for men and hair ornaments for women are also used in Peking Opera.

Since Liberation, much has been achieved in reforming this traditional beijing opera. Efforts have been made to eliminate the feudal aspects, to improve stagecraft, and to widen the subject matter. New generations of young actors and actresses have emerged and are making new achievements on the basis of the traditional schools.

How to play animals

:
While sitting around with friends this weekend I discovered the greatest card game ever. The name of the game is Animals, and the game is very easy to learn, easy to play and a great source of entertainment.

The game is not a gambling game but gambling can be done easily enough, but I would not expect to see this game in your local casino anytime soon.

I suspect the game started out as a memory game for children, then was taken you young adults and turned into a drinking game, but it does not matter if you are gambling with this game, drinking with this game or just trying to have a fun evening with friends, because it is fun whatever you are playing for.

The best way to play the game is with at least 4 people but no more then 8. You will also need 2 or 3 decks of cards to play Animals and a table for everyone to sit around.

Before the game starts each player must choose an animal noise and a hand gesture to represent them in the game and going around the table each player must announce the name of their animal, the sound the animal makes and its hand gesture. An example of this would be to say I am a cat, meow and the hand gesture may be wiping your face with the back of your hand.

In this game the dealer remains standing the entire round. The dealer will go around the table continuously dealing 1 card to each player until all the cards have been dealt. The dealer must stay at a steady pace and go not too fast and not too slow.

the players must continuously scan the other players top cards and when someone has the same number card on top of their pile as you, you have to make that persons sound and hand gesture. If you do it before they do you get all their cards.

That person is not out of the game the next time the dealer goes around they still get another card. The person with the most cards at the end of the game winds, and is the dealer for the next round.

For kids this is a great game because they have to remember everyone's noise and gesture, this is a fun way for them to help develop their memories, and a great way to get them away from the television for a little while.

For those looking to gamble this game may not earn you as much as playing Blackjack but it is a lot if fun to sit around and make fools of yourselves and make a few bucks. All you have to do is set an amount and everyone puts their money into a pot and the winner gets the pot. It does not get any easier then that.

The drinking game has an extra rule or two. If you make someone's noise and gesture before they do yours, besides getting their cards they need to drink and at the end of each round all the losers need to drink.

How to start your own small business

Opening your own business can be a real big gamble. If you do not do your research well, you will wind up like most small businesses, and that is out of business in less then 6 months.

The most important thing to remember when opening up new business is the location. When doing your research for your new business you want to make sure you are the only business of your time in the area. If you are opening a video store you do not want to open near another video store. Remember if you are exclusive to the area, you will automatically get the business of those living in that area.

The next most important thing about opening a small business is you supplier. Do not have just one place to get supplies from, you should have several. By having more then one you can assure yourself that you are getting the lowest prices from them. And if they know about each other they will try to outdo each other to get your business.

Make sure that the products or services that you will be offering are desired, do not just decide to open up a store with out doing any market research is like playing craps, dangerous unless you really know what you are doing.

Advertising is important. Remember just like a casino you are trying to make money and not lose it. By spending some money on advertising you will increase your sales from your opening day. It is best to have a professional help you with your advertising rather then dong it yourself, there is no point in spending money on advertising if no one in your target demographic is going to see it. An example of this would be like using facial expressions to bluff in a poker game against blind players.

When picking your stock it is sometime better to have a better selection of items and maybe not so many of each item, this way you can see which items sell best and order more of those more popular items, and less of the less desired ones.

In business you should not try to open a business unless you already have experience running a related business. You may think you know how to, but to do it correctly you really need experience, after all if you were in a casino and looking to play poker you would not want a roulette dealer who is trying to figure out the rules as he goes would you? Chances are you would want an experienced poker dealer.

Depending on the type of business you are opening try keep your staff as small as possible, and if it is possible try to get friends and family to help you out. This will allow you to keep your costs low until you can really get a good idea of if you are making money or not. Once you are making money you can go out and hire people.

Avoid personal disintegration from a broken marriage with hypnotherapy for break ups and divorce

When we fall in love and experience the first blush of romance, it seems to us that life couldn’t be better. The world seems perfect and rosy, and we cannot bear to think of ever living without our partner. Yet, the reality is that more often than not there is trouble in paradise; after a period of time spent together, the rosy hue dissipates only to be replaced by a sepia toned world. The divorce rates have gone up around the world in the last few years, and break ups are as common as the housefly! Research says that almost 49% of the marriages end up in divorce within the first 7 years in the US; globally, one out of every three married couples is headed for Splitsville. A separation of such a kind is very difficult to handle for any person; feelings of anger, depression, nervous breakdowns and disillusionment are what people experience in general. Though such a situation is a bitter pill to swallow, we have to do it…and do it with dignity. Hypnotherapy for break-ups and divorce can help you pass over this phase with less pain and more self-respect. Here’s how.

After separating with our partner, it is crucial for us to find hope, and to move on. The more you mope around the more harm you bring upon yourself. How to tell if your computer has been infected with spyware

Spyware is hidden programs that unbeknownst to you, download themselves into your operating system along with your intentional downloads. Mainly entering your computer via freeware and shareware, they can harm your PC as well as your personal life as they record your every movement on the computer in addition to sometimes having the ability to scan files in your hard drive. All of this secretly obtained information is reported back to the Spyware originator through the program and can lead to an overload of junk mail in your email boxes as well as claiming your identity through the personal information it retrieves off your PC.

• The first sign that you’re computer has been infected by Spyware would be sluggish performance of your PC. Spyware will slow down your ability to surf the internet as you browse through and load pages from various websites. It will make your programs load and run slow as well and may even cause the system to crash.

• You might see that certain toolbars have been added to your web browser that you have no recollection of putting there. This is another warning sign that your system has been infiltrated with a Spyware program or programs.

• Another symptom of Spyware infection is pop-ups that appear on your browser windows that are completely unrelated to the site you’re visiting and even if your pop-up blocker is turned on.

• If you notice that your settings have been changed, whether within your programs, files or browser options, that’s another sign to watch for, especially if you reset them and they don’t remain that way upon closing and re-opening the files/programs or after completely restarting your PC.

• If your computer seems to have taken on a life all its own, opening and closing files and programs, sliding out and then shutting it’s CD door in addition to any other types of weird activity, there’s a good chance you’ve been infected by Spyware.

• When you open your email box and see that half the messages you sent were returned ‘undeliverable’ or emails were sent on your behalf that you didn’t write, that’s another Spyware warning sign.

• One more symptom of being infected with Spyware is if your modem’s activity light flashes continuously when you’re not on the internet. And if your system light is flashing on and off, that’s yet another tell-tale sign.

• The worst thing that could happen is if someone actually does acquire your personal information and uses it to steal from you by claiming your identity. If you receive a credit card bill or bank statement containing unidentified activity, your computer is one of the first places you should look.

You best bets for protecting your PC from getting infected by Spyware is to be extremely careful when downloading free files, programs, music, etc. from the internet and ensuring that everyone else who uses the computer does the same. Installing Anti-Spyware software is highly recommended and you should run it constantly and use it scan your system regularly to identify and destroy any interlopers.

Timeless marketing truth how to add character to your marketing and bring your message alive

Making a character out of the advertiser brings the message alive. Maxwell Sackheim is most famous for inventing the Book-of-the-Month Club. But before that, he invented some dramatic, and dramatically successful, advertising.

One of his patented techniques was to make a character out of the advertiser, writing ads as if the clients themselves were actually talking. One Sackheim client was Frank E. Davis, "The Gloucester Fisherman". This is how Sackheim wrote for him:

"There is no use trying. I've tried and tried to tell people about my fish, but I wasn't rigged out to be an ad writer and I can't do it. I can close-haul a sail with the best of them. I know how to pick out the best fish of the catch… But I'll never learn the knack of writing an ad that will tell people why my kind of fish—fresh caught, with the deep sea tang still in it—is lots better than the ordinary store kind.

"At least you can taste the difference. So you won't mind, will you, if I ship some of my fish direct to your home? It won't cost you anything unless you feel like keeping it. All I ask is that you try some of my fish at my expense and judge for yourself whether it isn't exactly what you have always wanted."

This copy sold tens of thousands of tubs of fish right across the country. The authentic character of the Gloucester Fisherman brought life, and customers, to the product.

You’re thinking, “Great then, but now? Come on.” Maybe you’ve heard of a couple multi-millionaires named Harry and David? Ever wonder how they got started? Years after Sackheim, a copywriter called G. Lynn Sumner wrote an ad for a pair of pear growers. The ad set off with the headline: "Imagine Harry and Me Advertising Our Pears in Fortune!"

Here's a snippet of Sumner’s copy: "Out here on the ranch we don't pretend to know much about advertising, and maybe we're foolish spending the price of a tractor for this space; but my brother and I got an idea the other night, and we believe you folks who read Fortune are the kind of folks who'd like to know about it. So here's our story..."

Years later again, in the ‘70s, Frank Schulz took a Joe Sugarman seminar. Joe suggested the character formula. Frank wrote a headline: "A Fluke of Nature.” He told of the accidental invention of the “ruby red” grapefruit, and about how picky they are in picking the fruit. The rest is marketing history.

One variation on the character gambit is the open letter. Norman Cousins resigned from The Saturday Review to launch his own World Review Magazine. Showing one heck of a lot of character, he put up $15,711 for three insertions in The New York Times. They were headed, "An Open Letter to the Readers of The New York Times." He told them what was wrong with the journalism of the day and what they’d get from the World Review. That first round of advertising netted Cousins $54,923.00 in subscriptions.

Every viable enterprise has a character behind it somewhere. When you find it, then you know what’s unique about the company—and that’s at least halfway to great advertising!

Review of the purina second nature dog litter box system

I had previously raised two lhasa apso dogs who spent most of their lives living in high-rise condominiums. Instead of having to take them down an elevator to go outdoors to eliminate all the time, I trained them to use newspapers in a spare bathroom. Since they were both initially paper trained as puppies anyway, I chose to continue this method for them. Indoor newspapers worked quite well for the rest of their lives as my dogs were able to go to the bathroom whenever they needed to. The only problem is that the papers tended to get rather messy and smelly. If plastic liners were not placed underneath the papers, newsprint ink would be imprinted on the ceramic tiles of my spare bathroom floors. On some occasions, urine puddles would flow off the papers as well as the liner resulting in situations which required immediate cleaning since urine became trapped between the plastic liner and the floor. Despite these complications, I was relatively satisfied with the paper method for my little dogs.

After both of my dogs had passed away after long lives, I took a break as a dog owner for several years. When it was time to become dog owner again, I had made up my mind to train my new pair of lhasa apso puppies to use papers indoors as well. This time, it turned out that Purina had come out with a new litter box system called Second Nature designed for specifically for dogs. It was basically modeled after similar setups for cats but the dog litter consists of large pellets made up of recycled newsprint. Purina also introduced a litter box that has one side cut away lower to facilitate easy entry for dogs. I’m not totally convinced on the advantage of this particular feature since my lhasa apsos have no problems stepping into the box from the side. But for Purina to introduce such a system to the market, I must not have been the only dog owner who considered indoor elimination a better alternative to outdoors for smaller breeds. The product is now very popular especially among small dog owners living in apartments and high-rise condominiums without easy access to outdoors.

Purina recommends a slow transition from papers to their Second Nature system by placing newspapers over their dog litter at first. The company also suggests crate training at the same time but instead of taking the dogs outside, they are taken to the litter box. Newspapers are also placed all around the floor area of the litter box itself. My puppies needed some time to get use to the box so while they were being introduced to it, they were eliminating on both the newspapers on the floors as well as inside the litter box. Once they got use to the idea of going inside the box more often to eliminate, paper coverage on the surrounding floor area was gradually made smaller. When they started to use the litter box all the time, the newspapers on the floors were gone for good. The next step was for them to get use to the actual pellets of the litter. Since there were still newspapers covering the dog litter, the puppies were still technically using papers but at least they were getting accustomed to stepping on the pellets underneath. Papers inside the box were gradually reduced a bit at a time exposing more dog litter. Over a few weeks, the puppies gradually saw more dog litter than newspaper inside the box. Eventually, all newspapers were totally eliminated as my lhasa apsos finally got used to the box filled with litter only.

In my mind, the litter box system is less messy since all dog urine and feces stay inside the box. Actually the Second Nature pellets absorb urine much better than normal newspapers. The odd time, one of the puppies may get a bit lazy and have just the front paws inside the box while the hind legs are still outside resulting in urination on the floors. In these cases, the puppies have to be nudged a bit so that they are completely inside the box. This is part of their training. The only complication I observed with the pellets is that both puppies like to chew and eat them at times. Purina claims that ingestion of the pellets itself is not harmful to the dogs since they are just compressed papers. This will result in more feces production until the dogs can stop this habit. The dog litter is non-clumping so it will not get stuck inside the canine digestive system unlike normal clumping cat litter. It is considered unsafe to use clumping cat litter as a substitute for the Purina dog litter.

Purina Second Nature was launched only in the United States so as a Canadian resident, I had to go down to the U. S. to purchase the system. I started out with Purina’s cat and small animal litter called Yesterday’s News which is basically the same as Second Nature except the pellets are much smaller. But at least the Yesterday’s News pellets are non-clumping and therefore safe to use for dogs. Purina changed their Second Nature pellets to be around the same size as Yesterday’s News and many users including myself, found that my dogs ended up tracking the pellets all over the place. After speaking to a Purina spokesperson, I was informed that the Second Nature pellets will be made back in the original larger size soon. This will reduce the tracking significantly again. Purina will also introduce Second Nature in the original larger pellet size to the Canadian market. Naturally, this is good news for me and other owners of small dogs who would like to use an alternative to going outdoors for elimination, especially during cold bitter Canadian winters. I would definitely recommend the Purina Second Nature dog litter system to other small breed dog owners, especially when it returns to its original larger pellet size.

Do not miss your opportunity-learn it now to change your life tomorrow

Every article that we read comprises some vital sentence which describes the gist of it, its major points and arguments. The same pertains to all academic projects. Whatever project you are assigned with-either it is a one-page descriptive paper or 100 pages dissertation, whatever the topic of the project may be, whatever the scope of the research - it should contain one or two sentences which provide the reader with the most important points of the contention of the writer.

This contention - the essence of your argument is your thesis statement. It is almost indispensable to provide your reader with the thesis statement, which should reveal your main arguments in several sentences (preferable in one or two) and offer the reader the main points of your essay. In order to produce a thesis statement one should always bear in mind what questions, should be researched and answered in your paper. Undoubtedly it is one of the most difficult tasks that students face. The questions that are asked in the research are extremely valuable in the designing of the thesis statement. Once you have listed several questions that should be answered, you should start distinguishing the most important questions from subordinate ones. Once your have singled out the most important questions, you can start using them as your thesis statement.

However, in many departments it is necessary to develop and state your thesis proposal. One shouldn’t confuse these two processes; remember that your thesis statement is used in your writing assignment, whereas your thesis proposal thesis proposal is mostly used in the drafting of your paper. In writing of your thesis proposal one should reveal how this topic is important not only for your topic, but for the subject and even science in general. One should show the significance and importance of the problem, you have decided to research. In your thesis proposal, apart from purely theoretical part, there should be also some practical guide on how the date and information needed for the research can be collected. And one of the most important tasks of writing of the thesis proposal is to develop and improve of your proposal writing skills. Whatever your department is - either it is a law program or medicine school, engineering of economics, lucid, persuasive and convincing proposal writing skills are useful acquirements for your career.

Certainly it is not possible to reveal all methods and ways of completing of your thesis proposal and thesis writing within the scope of one article; here I have outlined just general purposes of these processes. That is why is imperative to use guides (there are plenty of them on the internet as well) before starting to develop your thesis statement or your thesis proposal.

Cheap car insurance in michigan

The company from which you choose to purchase your car insurance in Michigan will play a roll in the cost of your car insurance; however, there are other factors that will also play a roll: your driving record, the type of car you drive, and where you live are all factors in determining the cost of your Michigan car insurance, as are your age and even your gender.

While it’s not really feasible to undergo a gender reassignment surgery just to get cheaper car insurance in Michigan, you can spruce up your driving record by cutting down on the number of traffic tickets and violations you get, purchasing a safe car or increasing the safety of the car you already have, and making sure your car is stored safely regardless of your neighborhood.

These kinds of changes take time, and in Michigan you need car insurance now. It’s a legal requirement, after all. So, how can you obtain cheap car insurance in Michigan while you’re waiting on those driver record points to disappear? By purchasing Michigan’s minimum car insurance requirements.

Michigan’s minimum car insurance requirements are as follows:

$10,000 for coverage of property damage (another’s property)

$20,000 for coverage of the bodily injury or death of one person

$40,000 for coverage of the bodily injury or death of everyone in the accident

Before you purchase Michigan’s minimum car insurance requirements, make sure you are eligible. Many people must purchase more than the minimum amount of insurance for a variety of reasons – the most prevalent being that the vehicle was purchased by taking a loan and the loan isn’t yet paid off.

Talk with your family members and friends who have cheap car insurance in Michigan. You may want to check out the insurance companies from which they purchase their car insurance. And before you make a decision, talk with insurance agents about any discounts for which you may be eligible.

Cool grandparent s use email

Have you been finding it difficult to bridge the generation gap between you and your grandchildren or younger people in general?

I teach basic computer skills to Senior People on a voluntary basis in their homes, and at a local computer centre and the main question always seems to be, show me how to email my grandchildren.

On top of the generation gap we also have the problem of so many families being split up in different parts of the country or across the world.

One of the most basic skills to bridge the gap is emailing. If you join the younger generation and use their way of communicating, the gap is very quickly forgotten.

If you have a mobile phone finds out how to send text messages, another communicating skill seniors are not using. It’s cheap and it works.

Most of you will have a built in Email in your computer such as Outlook Express. This is connected to your ISP (Internet Service Provider). Setting it up is very simple but you will need some information from your provider. Phone them and ask for it and then fill up the form and your away.

Another way and I think a better one, is to have an email that you can log into on any computer and in any country. While you are away travelling for instance. There are a lot, but the best I have found are Gmail and Hotmail. Both are free and take very little time or knowledge to set up. Just Google up Gmail and you will be directed to their email sign up site.

Before you start they will ask you for a user name and password. Decide on these and write them down before you start to fill up the information. There is a possibility you will not get what you want so be flexible and think it out before you start. Choose a few different combinations of password and login, i. e.; Password: David10 Login: dancestudio. Remember what ever you choose they will be case sensitive, so if you use only lower case it will always be lowercase, the same if you use a capital letter such a D and the rest lower case. It will always be, for example: David.

It is most likely you will have to use at least 6 digits. You might want to put your name, lets say Ann, then you would need to have at least 3 digits more, so why not Ann plus your birth year i. e. ann1947. Make up a few ideas and when you put them into the email program they will tell you what is available and also suggest alternatives as close as possible to the one you have asked for.

Do take a password that you are going to remember. You might have Login ann1947 and then you need a password such as 123456 any combination or a word. Try and always keep the same password and login in the future because trying to remember a lot of different ones is a nuisance. If you have a mobile phone put them in under New Contact so if you are out or away you will always have that with you. This is a good trick for keeping numbers, but make sure nobody else would have access to the information if you lost your phone.

When you first sign up for the account (it called an account but it’s free), they will ask you for secret questions only you would know. For example; where were you born? Or mother’s maiden name? Pets name? Etc. This is for your safety so if you loose your information it can be recovered.

That’s all there is to it. Now you have an email account and can contact anyone in a flash.

One word of caution, do not download information unless you know who has sent it. Use the delete button on any suspicious emails.

You will find some emails called Junk. In the Junk folder. Remember to take a look at them every day because an important one may have slipped through. As you get used to your program you will find files for keeping information, how to upload photos and many other bits and pieces that will keep you in touch with your loved ones and they will think you are one cool grandparent. It’s a win win situation

When did you last have a good sleep

Tempurpedic Mattresses, generically known as Memory Foam, are becoming more popular every day. However, with all the different choices and prices of foam on the market, the consumer should know about the major differences between these products before paying a major amount of money for a bed they will be sleeping on for many years. It adapts to the contours of the body much better than an innerspring mattress. Each person has different preferences due to weight and sleeping habits. The best thing to do is to visit your local bed store and try laying down on a few different models. (When the sales staff have to wake you up, you know you've found the right brand.)

The importance of a good night's sleep can't be overstated. No-one functions well on lack of sleep. The majority of people in the western world are sleep-deprived, and sleep deprivation is a significant cause of accidents. Remember the Exxon Valdez? That accident took place in the early hours of the morning, and industrial accidents peak on the midnight shift. Students who are sleep-deprived learn poorly. Chronic sleep deprivation affects the appetite centers of the brain, causing overeating and subsequent obesity. Any bed system conducive to a deeper, more restful sleep improves your quality of life.

There are several advantages to memory foam over a conventional mattress: it's hypoallergenic, molds to fit anyone's body, and provides some insulation on cold nights so you need fewer heavy, dusty blankets and comforters. All the pressure points that cause discomfort, and subsequent tossing and turning, are eliminated.

Tempurpedic is the brand name of the pioneer of memory foam, a company in Sweden. It's the top-of-the-line product, but expensive, and there are dozens of cheaper competing brands, some made in America, some in China or other countries. HOWEVER, be warned: not all memory foam products are alike, as with any merchandise, you tend to get what you pay for, both in quality and longevity.

Memory foam is visco-elastic, and it responds to temperature changes much as bubble gum does. Good quality memory foam has a wide range of temperature responsiveness, but some of the cheaper brands can become as hard as wood if you let the bedroom go below 60 degrees. Eventually, as you change position the foam warms up and responds to your body shape, but this can take a few minutes, during which time you will be uncomfortable and may wake up. And cheaper brands may become too soft on hot summer nights, offering no support. Better brands of memory foam, such as Sensus and Temperpedic, specifically state their consistent performance through a wide temperature range.

Another issue is the longevity of the memory foam before it finally breaks down and loses its springiness. Better memory foams offer longer guarantees, 20 years, whereas the cheaper brands offer 10 years.

So, in summary, you don't have to buy the most expensive product, but don't buy the cheapest either. You'll spend many nights regretting your decision. A few hundred dollars extra isn't really a lot when spread out over decades of memory foam mattress use.

As well as differences in quality, there are also differences in memory foam mattress construction. Mattresses can have either 3 or 4 inches of memory foam over a denser supportive core, and more is not always better, because if the top layer of memory foam is too thick, you'll sink in quite far before hitting the supporting layer underneath. Stomach sleepers should buy 2 inch foam, side sleepers and medium sized people should purchase mattresses with 3 inch memory foam, very large people or back sleepers should buy the 4 inch.

The base of the bed can vary as well. Some models feature loose sheets of foam of different firmness levels that can be arranged to the sleeper's personal taste, others are laminated together. Also, man-made (petrochemical foam products) are about 1/3 the cost of natural latex. People who are sensitive to out-gassing of man-made products should consider a natural product.

The webdesign business - 5 surefire ways to fail

Several years ago, I launched a small web design company in a rural area of California. Market conditions couldn't have been better, my skill level was above average, and I had a large pool of aquaintences to which I could market.

Within 12 months I went broke.

My business failed because I made some very fundamental mistakes, and made them consistently.

I now work in the web hosting industry. I have had the opportunity to interact with numerous self-employed web designers and have found that the mistakes which I made are extremely common, and usually fatal.

If you are hoping to make a go of your business over the long term, you may want to memorize my top 5 mistakes, and avoid them like the plague.

If, on the other hand, you are determined to run your web design business into the ground, the following list may be used as an expeditious roadmap to failure.

1. Underprice your services

This is the most common mistake web designers make. The temptation is to break into the business by producing a few cheap websites in order to build a portfolio. Don't do it!

Remember that you will only be spending about 40% of your time designing sites. The other 60% will be spent hustling up the next client. If you think your time is worth $10.00 per hour, consider asking for $30.00. This will give you sufficient revenue to pay for all the non-paying time you spend marketing your business.

2. Fail to set and enforce boundaries

Everyone loves a nice guy, and the temptation to be one is a trap which many of us fall into. It's crucial to remember, though, that you are in business for one primary reason - to make money.

You will, doubtless, encounter clients who will pay you for a small website, then end up wasting all of your time with questions about how to remove spyware from their computer and requests to add "one small thing" to an already completed website.

You can avoid this, somewhat, by establishing clear boundaries with the client from the very start. A contract is useful here. Make sure that your client knows exactly what can be expected of you, and what you expect of them.

If your client asks for extras, and you're amenable to providing them, give them a quote. Never toss it in for free. The only thing you have to sell is your time and expertise. Don't give away either.

Remember, you're in business. Try asking a service station owner for a little free gasoline. They would be shocked by your question. Likewise, you should be shocked when someone asks you to provide free service.

3. View your clients as temporary

Many of us get into this business because we love creating something new. By the time we finish a website, we're tired of that site (and sometimes that client) and we're ready to start a new project, and put the old project well behind us.

This attitude can cut deeply into your potential gross.

Over time, your client will need numerous updates to his or her website. updates are sometimes bothersome, but can add a significant revenue stream to your business. More important, a satisfied client becomes one of the major links in your marketing network.

4. Ignore recurring revenue opportunities

During the best of times, web designers live from project to project. While finishing one project, you will be lining up the next.

Every business, however, has slow stretches.

Unfortunately, your own creditors will still expect payment, even when your own revenue slows down.

A wise web designer looks for ways to provide his business with some sources of recurring revenue. Even $400 a month which you can count on can get you through a dry spell.

There are numerous ways to set up some recurring revenue. Take a look at maintenence contracts with your clients, reselling webhosting, etc.

5. Build pretty websites which do nothing

Your best source of advertising is word of mouth. Nothing generates great word of mouth like a satisfied customer. You can build the flashiest, prettiest, most cutting edge websites on the net, but it's all for naught if your site doesn't perform.

Every website has a purpose. That purpose might be to sell goods, leverage an advertising budget, disseminate information, assist in personnel management, or one of a million other possibilites.

Your first job, as a web designer, is to ascertain what the web site is supposed to do. Once you find that "thing" - the thing it should do - make sure that the site you deliver does that particular thing like nobody's business! By doing so, you will ensure a client who will sing your praises at the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce meetings, and to his or her friends and family. A client like this is golden, and will bring a steady stream of customers to your door.

Creating the right first impression

Many years ago, while on a training course, a lecturer burst into the room in a bad mood.

I sat on a table of six and we all thought it was because of something we'd done the night before - largely because we'd all had a bit too much to drink and had got up to some boyish antics. But that wasn't it.

The bad mood actually had nothing to do with us at all. It had been staged to make a point.

The point being communicated to us on that day was how a first impression counts and how it effects other people.

Why am I telling you this?

A few years ago I discovered that some days I found it easy to get. While on other days I didn't want to get up at all. I then found that the days I wanted to get up were the days when I was doing something I enjoyed or was looking forward to.

Then I found that when I was getting up to do something entertaining I enjoyed the process of getting up. In fact when I had set it up before going to be, I even woke up with a smile - in the same way I do when it's my birthday!

So I made a list of the ten things I love doing first thing in the morning and made sure that the first part of my day involved being with as many of these things as possible.

I love 'sunshine' music like Bill Withers Lovely day, Katrina and the Waves, Walking on Sunshine, Louis Armstrong's What a Wonderful World, the less-known Boo Radleys, Wake up it's a Beautiful Morning and I'm too Sexy for My Shirt, by Right Said Fred. I often play these.

I love running or walking in the cool of the morning just as the sun rises over the Mendip hills and the heat immediately begins to penetrate my skin.

Other things that can set me up for the day are taking a meditative walk in the garden with a hot drink in my hands and taking a slow shower and letting the water tingle over my shoulders.

I also like things that make me laugh in the mornings U tube has become a real plus in this way.

The scene in Anger Management when Jack Nicholson screeches Adam Sandler to a halt and then forces him to 'De-fluster' by singing 'I feel pretty', is a favorite. As the rush hour drivers zipped by shouting insults this clip made me laugh harder than almost any movie scene I can remember. Have a look here

Recently a friend tipped us off on the Laughing yoga, since then he's become a regular at the beginning of my working day. My daughter also loves Guinea pigs fighting over cucumber and this has sent her off to school skipping down the road and laughing.

If I'm feeling political or have a feeling that the world is not all it could be I enjoy a little Endless Love between two political leaders. Click here

So why am I saying all this?

I believe making the right impression is important, but especially important when you make it on yourself. Lots of people want to know how to manifest their hearts desire.

They see these things as a house or a car or a holiday, but when it's all stripped down all any of us want is happiness and love.

We find happiness and love much more readily when we put a smile on our face, feel at peace and can see beauty in other people.

I don't know about you, but I haven't yet been approached by someone offering me my dreams when I'm scowling, but I have been offered some wonderful opportunities when I'm laughing and smiling. Perhaps a laugh is attractive - or attracting.

1. Make a list of at least six things that help you to feel good first thing in the morning.

2. On any day you don't want to get up, allow yourself a few extra minutes to do something you'll really enjoy.

3. Send me your list. I'd love to know what helps you create a good first impression on yourself first thing in the morning!

With Love and good wishes

Neil

Helen keller a teller and a seller

What are the odds of someone doing extraordinary things if that person lost their sight, hearing and speech at nineteen months of age? Helen Keller overcame enormous disadvantages to influence the world. Although her teacher and mentor, Anne Sullivan, achieved great results with her, ultimately, Keller’s success was up to Keller.

How many of you feel sorry for yourselves because you can’t do something? Keller had so many reasons to wallow in self-pity. She was born in the late nineteenth century and did not have the technical advantages that physically-challenged people now have. Keller made the most out of her situation.

Here are a couple of examples of how Keller succeeded:

1. As a little girl, Keller said, “Someday, I shall go to college.”

Keller received her Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in 1904 from Radcliffe College. How many of you have been persistent enough to earn a bachelor’s degree? Congratulations to those who have earned a Bachelor’s degree, like Keller did. If you earned your degree, you could have given plenty of reasons to have given up on earning your degree. What was Keller’s excuse? She didn’t have an excuse! Keller, blind and deaf, graduated cum laude.

2. Keller wrote about a dozen books

Some of Keller’s published works include The World I Live In; The Song of the Stone Wall; Out of the Dark; My Religion; Midstream--My Later Life; Peace at Eventide; Helen Keller in Scotland; Helen Keller's Journal; Let Us Have Faith; Teacher, Anne Sullivan Macy; and The Open Door.

There are many current and aspiring writers who are struggling to finish just one book. Keller’s works inspired many people because of her major disabilities. How many people can you inspire through your written works? Every one of you has a unique story to tell and it’s waiting to be read.

Most of your five senses are operational. Keller only had three operational senses. She learned to speak at age nine with help from Anne Sullivan. Keller’s determination to avoid major obstacles to deter her is one of the most inspiring things about her. The next time we are having it rough, think about how rough a deal Keller had and all of the accomplishments she had.

New franchise vs. existing franchise... which to purchase

If you're not sure whether to purchase a new franchise, or look at existing franchise opportunities, then this article was written for you. We will discuss the positives and negatives of purchasing a new franchise, and what you must avoid if you're going to get a good return on your franchise investment. After reading this article, you should have a question answered on whether purchasing a new franchise is better than purchasing an existing franchise.

In general, it's wise to invest in existing, successful business model. However, the reason people purchase new franchises are because they provide alternative benefits, mainly they are more cost efficient. Sometimes the difference between purchasing a new franchise versus an existing franchise is in the six figures. New franchises have lower start up cost, because they are more of a risk. If you've always wanted to own a franchise, but can't get all the funding needed, it would be wise to look at new franchise opportunities.

Secondly, new franchises offer more flexibility in the franchise agreement. For example, if you're purchasing a franchise from McDonald's, you'd have very little say in how you could arrange the store layout, where you can locate at, and how you can use the franchise's name. Most successful existing franchises allow for very little innovation. However, new franchises often encourage innovation and idea generation. Specifically, if you can come up with a great idea for the franchise, you can earn a lot more money with it.

Lastly, new franchises sidestep the problem of saturation. Sometimes existing franchise opportunities act like cannibals -- they eat themselves. Two franchises compete for the same market share. However, with a new franchise you don't have to worry so much about competing against the same franchise in close proximity. Also, a new franchise offers a chance to brand a new image in the mind of the customer, which means the chance to be a leader in an emerging field.

If you are looking for a way to start fresh and have the chance to turn your business dream into a reality, then a new franchise may we what you’re looking for. If you are nearing retirement and your goal is to make solid investments, then an existing franchise would probably be a better choice for you. While choosing a franchise opportunity is far from gambling, there is gamble in any business choice you make. With proper research and planning you should be able to narrow down your margin or possible failure. My suggestion is to look at your future and financial goals before making a final decision.

In conclusion, a new franchise offers a lot of opportunities that an existing franchise doesn't. If you want to save on price, have more of a say in how you operate the franchise, and experience the chance to gain market share and brand yourself in an emerging field, buying a new franchise could just be the perfect way to go for you.

Fairyland jiuzhaigou

Jiuzhaigou Valley is located in the north of Sichuan Province, China. It is called "a fairyland", and this is not over rated.

Its attraction lies in its simple, idyllic beauty; with majestic and unrivalled emerald(sometimes multicolored) lakes, layered waterfalls, colourful forests and snow peaks. It is also the homeland of the giant panda.

The main scenic area, which covers at least 80 km, is full of scenery that are just breathtaking. It composed of three valleys arranged in a Y shape. The Rizegou and Zechawagou gullies flow from the south and meet at the centre, then form the Shuzheng gully, flowing north to the mouth of the valley.

Jiuzaigou is most famous for its water. There is a saying in China: No mountain is worth seeing after you have seen Mount Huangshan, and no water will interest you after you've visited Jiuzaigou.

It is dotted with many gorgeous lakes. They are notable for their high concentration of calcium carbonate, to form different shades of blue, green and turquoise-colored lakes according to their depths, residues, and surroundings. The carbonic calcifications between the lakes and waterfalls dazzle with color in the sunshine. The water is so clear that the bottom is visible despite depths of several dozen meters.

Waterfalls are the essence of the scenery in Jiuzhaigou. The most famous is Pearl Shoal. It is a huge fan-shaped calcium beach. The stream rushes down, splashing water about like millions of bouncing silver pearls, and then goes down to form

fantastic waterfalls of various shapes with a thunderous roaring echoing throughout the deep valley.

Jiuzhaigou is magnificent throughout the four seasons. But the best of all is in Autumn. The breeze is intoxicating, while the leaves turn colorful, and are beautifully reflected in the sparkling translucent lakes. However, this is also the most crowded time of the park.

For our family trip, we chose to visit Jiuzhaigou in Summer. With a six years old boy in tow, and 70+ years old parents, this seemed to be the best time of the year. The weather was comfortable, and relatively less visitors meant we need not rush through the scenic spots.

In fact, the weather was cooler than I thought. We stayed at Jiuzhai Paradise Hotel up in the mountains. Some mornings, we encountered wintry weather. Due to the rarefied atmosphere up in the mountain. We felt tired easily, and have to walk slowly around the hotel and even in the hotel room, sometimes feeling some sense of discomfort, and nauseous. We have to carry the oxygen tube around so that we can inhale some oxygen when we feel uncomfortable.

The air was a lot better in the town area and the Jiuzhaigou scenic area. We need not use the oxygen tube and can move around swiftly. In fact, in Jiuzhaigou scenic area, the air was great - clean and cool. The local authorities obviously place a lot of emphasis on keeping the place unpolluted. They use the "green" bus to travel around the area, and that is the only vehicle that is allowed in the park.

The scenery was simply magnificent. The water is in different shades of blue/emerald, and so crystal clear. Even my six year old would pause from his playing occasionally, too captivated by the beauty of Nature!

Remember the movie "Hero", by Zhang Yimou. One of the unforgetable scene where the two male leads fought on the tranquil blue lake, dipping in and out of the water...... It was filmed right here.

Paris is safe and well thank you

If you watched CNN or Fox News like I did a few evenings ago, you might have been impressed at the student demonstrations in France.

Both TV channels had us sold on the idea Paris was being mobbed by the angry multitude. Pictures of Mad Max-like police trucks hosing thousands of protesters. Scenes of massive gatherings around Bastille square. Interviews of malcontent students. Some pyrotechnics to boot!

Golly!

Though I often travel to Paris, I live in Florida. So I had to wait until the following day before I could call relatives and friends in Paris. I got Vince first. Vince is always a reliable source, he's got the local pulse. When I need to get the lowdown on all-things-Paris, I get it from him first.

"Hi Vince, it's Phil. Gee, how is it today? Have you lived through the night?

"Hi man, what are you talking about?

"Well, I mean, the demonstrations and all. The mayhem.

"Oh yeah, so what about them?

"Well, I was on CNN yesterday, and they were showing all this mess with the police, and students, and cars burning!

"And?

"Come on, man, you can't tell me nothing is happening there!

"Well, there was a demonstration, for sure. Students in the streets. But this was yesterday....

"You mean, it's over?

"Sure, buddy. Guys didn't like what the government handed over, guys got in the street, guys vented their anger, guys go home and watch TV, end of story.

"Oh. But about the cars torched? I mean, we saw it on TV!

"To hell with TV! You see a couple of cars burning, and you think it's the war?

OK, that was Vince's input. Kind of reassuring.

Let's ring family. I wanted to talk to Lolo, my brother in law. Lolo was an army firefighter for 15 years, he's cool-calm-collected, and he's used to assessing disasters with a cold eye.

"Lolo? Hi, it's Phil.

"Hi bro, whassup?

"Hey, I just wanted to hear it from you, you know, about the demonstrations, and the mess in Paris.

"Yeah, that was sporty.

"You mean, they wreaked havoc in the place?

"No, I mean it was sporty to get to work on my scooter. I mean, some of the streets near the Bastille Square were jam-packed.

"But what about the protests? I mean, they showed us the stuff on TV; it looked like mayhem with the cops and their trucks!

"That was towards the evening, not during the day. I was not far from the demonstrations when they were full on. The students sure were a loud crowd, but the hosing only started in the evening, and only lasted a couple hours.

"What about the cars burned?

"There were a few. Less than in November, during the events in the suburbs.

"Not many then. And how is it now?

"Quiet. Everybody's home, like nothing happened.

"Do you mean the demonstrations are over?

"Sure. I rode in Paris today, and it was business as usual.

"Is it safe for Americans to come? You know I have this website, Paris-Eiffel-Tower-News. com, and I give travel advice to people. Is it safe for them, or should I just tell my visitors to postpone their travel plans to Paris?

"It's just as quiet today as it was before the demonstrations. Come see yourself if you don't believe me."

Oh I sure believed Lolo, he having served 15 years as a firefighter in the army, and saved several lives. He used to serve in Paris too, so he knows the place like the back of his hand.

But I figured: I'm not gonna risk sending the visitors of my website to Destination Hell. I want proof. Solid proof that it's all over, and there's nothing bad happening now in Paris.

So I called Serge and Tony, two friends who are in the video business.

"Guys, could you do me a favor, and shoot a short video for my visitors, with the time and date on it? I wanna see Paris as it is today.

Serge and Tony are very cool guys, and they sure obliged.

This is the video they sent me: media. libsyn. com/media/hotels/ballade-high. wmv.

It was shot in Paris, between 1:00 and 2:00 PM on April 3, 2006, in various well-known places: under the Eiffel Tower, on the Alma Bridge, on the Champs Elysees Avenue, on Place de la Concorde, at St Germain des Pres, on St Michel Blvd, near the Cluny museum, at the Notre Dame Cathedral, on the Cite island, near the Louvre and Orsay museums, near the Opera house, and finally, right in the department store neighborhood.

What it shows is exactly how Paris is at this time. Business as usual.

So how come we have seen such a mess on TV, and there seems to be no trace of it today?

For one thing, student protests rarely last. They are put together quickly, and dissolve even quicker. What we saw on CNN and other news channels was a live-fast-die-fast occurrence.

What's more, TV and the news media rarely report quiet endings. 'News' is drama, war, atrocities, and the like. Uneventful endings never make the news.

The student protests of March 28 were filmed until everybody just went back home after sunset. Then they became much less newsworthy. Or so think the big honchos at CNN, Fox News, and the like. Don't forget folks, these guys think for y'all, the rabble. So shut up and watch.

Thirdly, the French are Mediterranean in character. An argument breaks, tempers flare quickly, bird names are exchanged, and suddenly it's all drama.... Then things resume their regular course, everybody shares a glass of wine, and the argument is soon forgotten.

The French government tried to pass a law which students and unions consider as a danger to job security. When the latter felt this law was forced into their gullets with no negotiations, their temper flared, and in no time they were down in the street. But it ended just as quickly as it all started. A flash in the pan. Within a day, it was over.

There is only one regrettable fact in this: heavy-handed, scandal-happy, war-loving news reporting gives us all a false impression that France is "a dangerous place to travel to these days."

Yet, had TV cameras continued rolling and spent just as much time showing Parisians had returned to their peaceful lives, such impression would have been quickly dispelled for what it really is: 100% false.

And so it is the privilege of regular Joes like me and other honest-to-God travelers to report the happy ending: everything is fine and dandy in Paris, folks. Live your lives as you plan them, and if you wish to travel to France, just don't bother too much with the news.

PS-- Paris is a big city. Demonstrations are mostly channeled along certain boulevards: Nation-to-Bastille, Nation-to-Italie, Bastille-to-Republique, and Bastille-to-Chatelet. Look them up on a map. Look at all the space around these spots. Well, that's your own playground in case new demonstrations occur when you are in Paris. A fact the news media conveniently omit to tell you. It wouldn't sell.

How to be successful with internet dating services

More and more, single men and women are turning to the Internet to meet possible partners. I mean, why not? The many testimonials by those who successfully engage in Internet dating is encouraging enough to inspire singles to explore all the possibilities online.

For beginners, it would be best to search online for the most popular Internet dating services – there must be a reason why they're popular. They'll also have a much greater number of members for you to meets.

Here's some basic things to remember for a successful Internet dating experience:

Try to have good pictures of yourself on your profile. In online dating first impressions are important – without it, no two people would ever meet.

It’s always a good idea, if possible, to post a variety of pictures to your Internet profile, some in casual dress, perhaps one in suit or maybe a picture showing you enjoying a hobby. These pictures will reflect the type of person you are, encouraging other members to contact you for a potential date. Don't forget to smile, and please refrain from posting nude photos – you don’t want to give out the wrong signals.

Once you find someone you like, you'll have to send an initial email. These emails should be short, clever and, if you can, make it funny The moment you make a potential date, the better your chance of getting a date.

A great place to use humor is in the subject line. Your potential date is more likely to read your email if it catches their attention. You could try a humorous remark about something in his or her profile, but be sure that your humor isn't insulting -- instead of getting a date you may get yourself an online enemy. Also, refrain from commenting on their picture unless your remark is complimentary.

In you e-mail, comment on things that you have in common, things you could only know from reading the profile of your potential date. This will help make them less nervous about meeting you. After all, if you have nothing in common, you'll have nothing to talk about, leading to an awkward and uncomfortable first date.

Additional things to remember

1.Never use "smileys" or winking emoticons unless you're a girl and you want to show interest.

2.Feel free to ask for a phone number after a couple of rounds of messages. But respect the decision of your potential date if they don't give you their number right away – they may feel they need to know you better first.

3.Once you get you potential date's phone number, be polite and respectful. respectful. Use light humor in your initial conversations to put them at ease.

4.It's not advisable to spend too much money on your first date, as it's really a "look-see" to find out if you find each other attractive in person. Some people may look great in their online photos but, face-to-face, you may not be attracted to them. Meeting for coffee is a good first date option, since you won’t be expected to spend too much.

5.On the other hand, if your date does look as good in persona as they did in their picture, don't hesitate to compliment their looks. People enjoy hearing that they're attractive, and it will put them at ease.

6.Make sure you also check out the profiles of dating-site members without pictures accompanying their profiles. Many very attractive individuals don’t post a picture, hoping to avoid getting a lot of e-mails from players. Justbe sure to get a pictures from them before you meet them for a date.

I m buying a cheap used car. do i need to insure it

Purchasing a cheap, used car is a great idea for individuals who are on a budget and looking to save money. However, it is still mandatory that, in order to drive the vehicle on public roads in the United States of America, the vehicle needs to be insured by an auto insurance company. Some individuals may choose still to not insure their vehicles, even though the laws of their state mandate that they have current auto insurance coverage on their vehicle(s) in operation. These people may be subject to heavy fines and penalties for operating their vehicles without insurance coverage in the event that they are caught without insurance.

There are a number of things for which a vehicle needs to be insured. It is not just a case of insuring the driver and the vehicle in the case of an accident damaging the vehicle. If this were the case, many people would be able to get away without having insurance since, to this extent, as long as they stayed out of accidents that were their fault, drivers could avoid any damages that may occur. Unless one of these mishaps occurs or an individual is pulled over, it would not be likely that the issue of insurance would come to the attention of law enforcement. However, individuals that do choose to drive without being properly insured are taking a huge risk. In addition to vehicle accidents, there are a number of other problems for which an individual's insurance may be applicable.

Vehicles can also be insured against theft, fire, accident damage and third party use. Individuals do not need to insure their cars against all different types of damages or accidents. In general, individuals can choose between having comprehensive or liability insurance coverage. Deciding between which insurance coverage would be best for you as an individual can be more easily begun by first determining which type of auto insurance is affordable to you. Once you determine the insurance you need to have, you can begin to explore whether or not any additional coverage would be beneficial in your life.

Liability coverage covers damage caused to other people. This can include not just their property, but their body as well. Medical liability helps to ensure that the cost of a person's medical costs and/or their death will be met. Comprehensive coverage extends to your own vehicle and the property of other people. Collision coverage ensures that your car and other vehicles involved in the collision are covered in the event that they are damaged and you are found to be the cause. Underinsured motorist property damage pays for the costs in the event that the liability insurance coverage had by the negligent driver is not enough. Regardless of the type of insurance that an individuals chooses to have, the laws of the United States of America do require drivers to insure their vehicles prior to taking them out on the road. Individuals who do not insure their vehicles, or who allow their insurance to lapse, can bring problems down upon themselves if they are ever caught in a situation where they need to, but cannot, provide proof of insurance.

Ferrari

When Enzo Ferrari created his company Scuderia Ferrari in france in 1929 his intentions was to sponsor amateur race automobile drivers & invent racing cars, & it would take over 15 years before Ferrari began to generate their own road cars in 1946. Ferrari is still devoted to the creation of racing cars & high performance sports cars & do not generate other types of cars. Scuderia Ferrari is still the widespread name for Gestione Sportiva, the part of the Ferrari company that works with racing. Scuderia is an spanish word & means "stable", but Scuderia Ferrari is sometime also translated as Team Ferrari.

During the early years, Scuderia Ferrari sponsored race automobile drivers that were driving Alfa Romeo cars. Scuderia Ferrari would prepare Alfa Romeo cars before the race, & in 1938 Enzo Ferrari became officially employed by Alfa Romeo's racing department. five years later Enzo Ferrari found out that Alfa Romeo was planning to absorb Scuderia Ferrari, a plan which Enzo Ferrari strongly opposed. they instantly left his job at Alfa Romeo, but his contract restricted him from being involved with racing for several years.

they changed Scuderia Ferrari into "Auto Avio Costruzioni Ferrari" & officially manufactured aircraft accessories for a few years. Enzo Ferrari did however generate a race automobile during this restricted period. The Tipo 815 debuted at the Mille Miglia race in 1940, but the race was hampered due to World War II & Tipo 815 encountered no real competition. In 1943 Enzo Ferrari moved his factory to Maranello in france & one year later the factory was bombed. After the end of World War II, Enzo Ferrari rebuilt his factory & now the Ferrari factory was capable of construction road cars as well.

Ferrari constructed its first road automobile in 1947. The 1947 125 S Ferrari had a 1.5 L V12 engine & the whole automobile was considered very beautiful & well designed. Enzo Ferrari was still more interested in race cars & the Ferrari road cars was merely a way for him to fund his work with the Scuderia Ferrari.

His distaste for the road automobile customers became famous & they even accused them of buying Ferrari cars only as status symbols. it is true that the Ferrari road cars grow to fame not only due to excellent performance but also thanks to their stylish elegance. Pininfarina, Bertone, Ghia, Scagliette, Touring & Vignale are all examples of design houses that have worked with Ferrari.

Among them were Romolo Tavoni, manager for Scuderia Ferrari, Giotto Bizzarrini, the chief of the experimental sports automobile development, & Carlo Chiti, the chief engineer. This was naturally a huge loss for the Ferrari company & the crisis deepened when those who had been thrown out formed their own company - Automobili Turismo e Sport (ATS). ATS even managed to take over Scuderia Serenissima, a very successful racing team, from Ferrari.

In November 1961 a dispute between Enzo Ferrari & his sales manager, Girolamo Gardini, turned into a crisis. Girolamo Gardini threatened to leave the company. Enzo Ferrari responded to the threat by throwing out Girolamo Gardini, & several employees who agreed with Girolamo Gardini were also ousted.

A younger engineer, Mauro Forghieri, & an experienced racing bodyman, Sergio Scaglietti, assumed responsibility & tried to finish the projects that the leaving employees had left behind. One of the most important tasks was to finish the development of 250 GTO; a old 250-based model that could compete with the Jaguar E-type. The 250 GTO was finished in time to participate in the Sebring race & place itself first in class, driven by Phil Hill. Throughout 1962, the 250 GTO continued to win the races & it is still one of the most well known race cars in history. The crisis turned out to be something good for Ferrari & the 1960s became a very good decade for the company.

Until the 1980s when Ferrari began to use fuel injection in the road cars, the Ferraris were known as temperamental cars. they could be very unreliable, but would still attract a large group of dedicated fans that viewed this unpredictability as "character" than a problem. Today, FIAT controls 56 percent of the Ferrari stocks. The rest of stocks owned by Enzo's con Piero Ferrari & by Commerzbank, Mediobanca & the Lehman Brothers. Maranello is still the home town for Ferrari.
